Stretching out her claws, the dark colored HiveWing soared down out of the sky- wings beating at a rapid pace to keep her up in the air. Extending dark claws, she dipped down out of the sky- landing with a small thump on the upper layer of the bazaar. Stretching out her talons as she folded her wings, the warrior looked over the area with sharp eyes. She came here rather often- while she wasn't a guard and more of a soldier, she always wanted to make sure there was no trouble going on in large places like this.
She saw herself as a more intimidating dragon, after all. What dragonet or citizen would want to get in the way of a dragon of her size and stature, somebody who knew where they were going and what they wanted? Keeping herself tall and imposing as she walked, she moved her neck from side to side to see what was going on. It was early, and many of the shops had just started to open up, with only the shopkeepers, guards and a few early birds trotting about. And her, of course.
Folding her wings tighter to her sides, she trotted forward.

Viceroy made his way quickly through the market, claws set straight, one after the other. He made his way over to a fruit stand, quickly paying the vendor for a couple interesting fruits and such before storing them in the bag he had sling over his shoulder. The noble’s talons tapped impatiently as he sat back, bringing out the shopping list. Fruits-check, honey-check, the jewelry-ch- A claw, brilliantly blue, shot into his bag, grabbing the golden necklace faster than he could see and darting off with it in tow. “Wait-hey!” he cried after the SilkWing, who had already almost totally disappeared from view, flying off with a smile on their nasty face. He made an enraged circle, stomping over to the nearest guard- a tall, imposing red dragoness. “Miss, I need some help-one of my family necklaces was just stolen-could you please help me?” Bronzewing

kingfishBombardier continued walking, wings folded tightly to her side as she moved along. Jaws held open in a small, toothy smile she looked from dragon to dragon, showing off her HiveWing superiority best she could. It did feel nice to be the strongest in the room, at least from what Bombardier knew. Of course, she wasn't the kind to boast about it- just a strong walk and head held up high, and she could already feel her confidence tripling. He noticed the blue dragon darting off, and as her eyes drifted over to them she saw the noble stepping up to her. Turning her head to look at the small wingless dragon, she listened to their plea. "We don't need dragons disturbing the peace." she said with a nod of her head. "I'll go after them. Come with me- I may need some help identifying the item." She spread her wings out, planning to move after them- looking back at the lack of wings on the other dragon, she folded them back up and started to dash off on four legs.

BronzewingHe felt relief wash over him like dew in the morning. Guards were normally the strong, silent type, but thankfully they would always help out a HiveWing in need. Probably not a SilkWing, though, but that was a given. He breathed a small, “Thank you,” as the guard dashed off, seemingly trying to accommodate the fact that he had no wings. “It’s okay; I won’t be much help anyhow-“ he said, springing after the guard on all fours. Vice really needed the aerial support, and he would just slow the red guard down.

kingfishShe rushed off on all fours up until the other dragon spoke again- she didn't need a second confirmation. Showing rulebreakers, especially SilkWing ones, what the Hives wouldn't allow...that was the number one thing to worry about. She didn't want things to turn into a free-for-all, after all! Oh no, that wouldn't at all be a preferable situation. Once dragons started causing chaos, nothing good would come to that. And it was up to the HiveWings, especially guards like her, to keep things moving. Now in the air, she moved a lot faster without having to crash into dragons and dodge stalls- the blue dragon came back into sight, and with a dive closer to the ground she continued to chase them. They wouldn't get far- either she caught up (the most likely result) or some other guards or customers saw the chase and stopped the thief for her. The second one would make the job easier, but she just wouldn't feel as strong doing it.

BronzewingVice followed much slower on foot, dodging around disgruntled shoppers as he tried to somewhat keep up-mostly so that he could get his necklace back, to be fully honest. Why were SilkWings always so greedy like this? He wondered-of course, there were some good ones, but every thief that he had seen had been a darned SilkWing, like this one-or, at least, someone blue. But it wasn’t like HiveWings were often blue. He leaped around a stall as he caught a glint of red-the guard, most likely, flying lower to the ground.

kingfishShe rapidly caught up to them, the blue SilkWing turning back to gaze at her in fear- that was their great mistake. The small action slowed them down enough for her to lunge out at them, knocking into them from the sky. A short tussle later- not even much of a challenge for her- and the thief was on the ground, pinned underneath curved claws. The both of them breathed heavily, but she quieted her breath so she didn't appear tired. Holding out a claw, she stared them straight in the eye- they appeared hesitant to return the goods, but the whole commotion had already drawn a small crowd. The SilkWing's long neck darted from one dragon to the other before dropping the golden chain into her claws before struggling to get out of her grasp. She pinned them down harder in response, putting the necklace onto one of her horns- nobody would dare take it from her after seeing what had happened to this dragon. Turning her head around, she looked for the dragon she had done this for in the first place- was it that slow to run on foot? She was so used to flying that she wasn't even sure. Either way, it was up to them what punishment the thief would receive.

BronzewingHe gasped for breath as he saw the dragon go down-about a clawball field length away. More running, how fun for him. Viceroy took a while to get there, slowing down considerably to go at a walking pace as he sucked in air like a dying fish. Viceroy was an aristocrat, not a long-distance runner, he was used to walking everywhere, not going over five miles per hour. He finally slogged his way over to the dragon, letting out a breathy, “Thank you.” Then, he proceeded to double over and cough a bit, neck cold from the air. “What-do- we do now?” he asked the guard.

kingfishBombardier could tell that the other dragon wasn't used to running. If she was just a little winded, they were even more so- she could hear it in their breathy voice. It was rather amusing, but she wasn't interested in toying with the aristocrats. While she could outrun and outfight them, they had more treasure than she would ever know what to do with. "I got them, as you can see." she told them, a small smirk on her jaws. "Now, well, it's up to you. They stole your stuff- what do you want the repercussions to be?" The thief looked up at them, a gaze of worry on their jaws. Bombardier kept her claws digging directly into their scales, the ridged talons holding on tightly. "Up to you."

BronzewingVice looked down at the pinned dragon, a twinge of empathy easily replaced by annoyance as they remembered their lost necklace. The dragon flicked his tail, frowning for a second. “Well, what’s the..normal procedure? I mean...sorry, I just don’t often..meddle with these sort of things,” he said, posh accent slipping slightly into his tone for a second as the HiveWing shrugged. He wasn’t acquainted with the punishments of scum and cut purses, though this guard would probably know more. Generally, among his dragons, the crimes were more along the line of laundering or tax evasion (does the Queen have taxes???).

kingfish"The normal procedure- well, for most infractions, we just send them to the prisons. But when they specifically wrong somebody else and it's not just a break of the rules-" She smiled a bit, a hint of amusement on her face- "We let the other dragon choose. So it's up to you whether you want us to put them in the prison or do something else." Of course they didn't meddle in this sort of thing. Aristocrats didn't steal- if they wanted something they would just buy it, or maybe poison the other dragon until they could steal it off their corpse. This wasn't murder, this wasn't somebody that could be bribed, so of course they were lost! Either way, she did hear about the vengeful nature of aristocrats- maybe she would see some of that today.

Bronzewing“Ah. Well, I assume there’s not much else than the prisons. Take them there, but make sure they are aptly punished there.” Viceroy said tersely. Though he doubted they specifically targeted him, it had been made personal the second they stole his heirloom necklace, and he wasn’t too willing to fully forgive them. Sitting in a dark cell or something would do them right.

kingfish"Then that's what we'll do." She called to some other nearby guards- asking them to take the SilkWing to the prisons, strongly locked, and make sure they get punishment as the noble wished. It did feel great to be a guard- while she didn't have the monetary status of a noble or aristocrat, she did have the ability to punish whomever she so wished. Noble or not, the laws didn't wait for any dragon. It felt nice, being able to instill justice on whomever she wished. Sure, stealing one necklace wasn't that bad in the scheme of all things, but seeing even the minor offenses get punished... She also enjoyed when things were flipped on their head. Sometimes a noble would ask for every dragon that wronged them to get the worst possible punishment- only for them to some day be on the wrong side of the law. This wingless dragon didn't seem like the type to commit crime and get on her bad side. They did decide on a more legitimate punishment, after all, instead of "instant death" like others would pick.

BronzewingHe watched the dragon get dragged away, with a sort of resigned look, as if they were almost okay with the situation, if a bit uncomfortable. How odd. Viceroy turned to the guard. Guards were there to protect dragons like him, though he wasn’t one to test his luck with someone who was so much larger. “Again, thank you.” he nodded his head to the dragoness in respect. Viceroy turned to leave, seemingly caught by a thought as he stopped mid-step. “Keep the necklace, it’s the least I can do.” he said over his shoulder, and, with a wry smile, “We tend to have a lot of ‘heirlooms’.”

kingfishShe watched the SilkWing get dragged off- once they were out of sight, she turned around to look at Viceroy. "All taken care of. You make sure to call us again if anybody else tries to run off with your valuables." she said with a nod of her head, looking down at the smaller dragon. She didn't even need to use any force on this dragon- apart from holding them down, of course. Keep the necklace? Well- Bonbardier wasn't sure why she had just chased after this dragon, claws out, just for them to not even care about the item. She would never understand nobles, but she wouldn't complain. "It's the principle of the thing, I suppose. Nobody steals from you without getting some comeuppance." Before they changed their mind, she slipped it over her neck, letting it rest against the black scales on her chest. "Make sure nobody runs away with the rest of your 'heirlooms'." she said with a small laugh.
