"I suppose it is." she said, adjusting her wings- and shifting the pearl necklace around her throat a bit. This IceWing wasn't easy to get through- not like other tribes, who started with the diplomacy right off and had something that the SeaWings were actually looking for. Often, in fact, the SeaWings initiated the talks- this new IceWing ruler appeared to be taking things into her own claws. Strange. Ascidian wouldn't turn her away, of course- and would instead see if she could get a fair- or maybe more than fair for the SeaWings- deal from the ice dragons.
The SeaWing guard held their spear sharply, bowing as the IceWing did before circling away from them. SeaWings only bowed for challenges and stuff akin to that- but she guessed this was a challenge, even if it wasn't between any dragons valuable to the tribe. The IceWing couldn't rise in rank, and her guards were just that: bodyguards.
The SeaWing brandished the spear, narrowing their eyes, full of power and determination not to upset the queen. While the IceWing likely thought this was only a friendly spar, he had been told to slay the other dragon- maybe pretend to be an accident, but show off the power that the tribe had! Maybe, if they survived, they would get a promotion- but they did have a feeling that if frostbreath was involved, a leg or two would be gone. Maybe some cool scars... "I fought an IceWing guard and won!" They stopped daydreaming a second after with a shake of their head- that was bad battle tactics- and they refused to disappoint the queen.
