Leiurus isn't very good at conversation. Often he has issues figuring out what to say, or comes off too strong, or just... he prefers not to talk to people if he doesn't have to. He prefers to show his worth through his impressive strength and knowledge of swords- he's capable of fighting with any of the weapons strapped to his body. He's pretty happy with his position in Sirex's gang, and knows that challengers won't be coming around for a while. Really, he knows what he's doing and how to get around. While he's not too talkative and tends to answer most things with a small laugh or a quick answer, he does know what is going on and how the Hive works.
Telling Lei a joke won't do much. Neither will trying to get much emotion out of him, and he tends to keep his calm demeanor for mostly everything. Often he has an annoyed look on his face as if you did something to get on his nerves. He doesn't mean much by this, and it's just the way he acts, but it would be pretty hard for him to explain any of this. He's not very good at explaining stuff. The one thing he is good at is swords and swordfighting, and will happily teach a dragon a few tricks as long as they're old enough.
History:
Leiurus is the half brother of a very influential dragon in one of the Hives, whose importance he felt for most of his life. He was always compared to the other dragon and lived in their shadow, spending most of his young life trying to separate himself and become his own person. It didn't work too well, and his resentment towards Funnel-web only grew until his thoughts went into dark places. Leaving the Hive, he started to go into swordfighting training- buying his own weapons and strapping them to his body every time he got better at his work. This went on for most of his life until he was an older dragon, being good at his art and eventually returning home.
When he returned home, he was largely ignored and not much had changed, and eventually he challenged his brother for the last time. While Funnel-web thought they would win, Leiurus easily knocked them down and quickly killed them before coming back with the dragon's skull as a trophy. They paid attention to him after that, and after some time of basking in the glory, he realized that nothing was getting done and left yet again.
Back in Vinegaroon where he had trained, he realized that it was a fairly large mess with the SilkWings. Finding another dragon who had mostly been pushed to the side, the royal Sirex, the two of them conspired to fight against the SilkWings and then kill Vinegaroon. Leiurus wanted nothing to do with the Hive and let him do so, taking out scores of dragons in the name of the Lady before Vinegaroon was slain and everything was as it should be. He became the first member of the gang, and probably its strongest, due to how he keeps winning challenges.
He's one of the few dragons that would say he has a friendship with Sirex instead of just seeing them as a boss or colleague.
