kingfishThis dragon seemed... a bit strange. They really didn't like SilkWings, evidently, but they appeared to have something more for them over what she thought about the tribe. She would treat any dragon the same under the law- it just so happened that SilkWings were the ones most likely breaking it. They seemed to be desperate- stealing whatever they could get their claws on- even if the chance they could get away with it was next to none. HiveWings were the real problem- they didn't have a need to steal anything, they ran the Hives, and if they did some sort of crime it wasn't out of any necessity. They steal things because they want things. Nobles...she didn't know what was going on inside their heads. Probably madness. "They probably can't do something like that." she lied- SilkWings were totally able to commit murder. Actually, there were one or two in the dungeons for that exact thing. "And no, I have no idea who that is. But nobles- like you- can spare basically anything." She tapped at the necklace around her neck, not saying anything else around it, just implying you had enough wealth to give me this for free. "Breaking a claw would be the least of it." she said. Getting a claw broken, especially for an untrained dragon like Viceroy? That was a given, and them getting beat up by a random SilkWing would probably also be. "Hive law itself doesn't have a face, but I can admit, it's not pretty. It doesn't need to be in order to get a point across." Yes, she was still angry. No, she did not want to fight the Hive noble. Okay maybe she would challenge them to something sometime, just to get that entitled look off their face.

Bronzewing“Anything except our lives, that’s for sure,” Vice snorted derisively, “Or their reputation, of course.” Often, damaging an ego was more effective than any poison, especially for a noble. Dragons with enough wealth had nothing material to lose-maybe dragonets, partners, but most of the time they did not even extend their emotions that far. The immaterial was all that could be attacked. This was perhaps a fool’s game, but nevertheless, it wasn’t like noble had much to do anyway. His most preferred method of wasting time was sleeping and writing annoyed letters to a friend here or there. “Of course not. That’s the beauty of it, after all.” Vice noted, gesturing with a claw. He was happy to not be in the receiving end of the HiveWing’s anger now-they seemed to either have gotten it under control or he had diffused the situation. Either way, he was now not in immediate danger of being paralyzed, so that was good. Not that he had actually suspected her to attack, no, that would have been very foolish of the guard, and against the law as well. Though, he could sabotage her with that necklace-not that Vice actually wanted to. He had no reason to waste time on randomly attacking some guard politically. It would be like taking candy from an egg, and that was of no challenge. He did understand, to a small extent, his own wealth and privileges, but the HiveWing was more caught up with enjoying the sabotage and backhandedness and assassination than actually critiquing his position within society.

kingfish"Lives and reputation- the two most important things." she admitted. To most dragons, losing a reputation was worse than death- at least in death you can still be honored. You can't get back from a broken reputation. Even for guards, a dragon needed to keep their reputation lest possibly losing their job or be hauled off to the prisons. But she could also lose material wealth- something this noble wouldn't miss. Heck, they didn't even have wings yet were doing a good enough job. Hm- is there any way she could frame a noble for something? Maybe she could pretend to find something wrong- something that looked stolen- or maybe just anything she could use to drag somebody away. No- it wasn't worth it. They angered her, but there was no use in toying with them- at least, not now. But she would remember this entitled dragon for a while. She still did plan to ditch the necklace- maybe she would give it away to some lucky SilkWing on the road. That might work- they're walking around, doing their SilkWing stuff, and she just hands it to them. They would probably be happy about it, but she guessed that she would have to deal with it again if another dragon thought it was stolen. Would give her some more excitement, though.

BronzewingHe nodded serenely, and if he had them, his wings would flick in agreement. If he had wings, a lot of things would be different. Vice’s own reputation was not a good one in full. Of course; his mother was very well-known, but he had always been surrounded by a sort of mistrust-that cripple that could never fly. That he wasn’t a true HiveWing. Yet he had never felt upset about his lack of wings-is was simply how he was. And sure; it was inconvenient because of the layout of the Hivew, yet that was never something he couldn’t get over at all. “Well, I ought to get going,” he informed the guard with a small smile, “Have a nice day. And I’ll remember ‘Bombardier’ anytime someone tries to steal something from me.” the dragon informed. She seemed nice enough-a guard, yes; a bit touchy on the merit of her job, but a overall friendly and good dragon all around. He gave her a small wave, smiling and nodding his head before turning to walk away-he would have flown, but..well. There was always business to do in Jewel Hive.

kingfishShe clicked her claws against the floor- she wasn't sure whether or not she needed to leave- this was a bit longer now than her normal conversations were, and who knows what crime could be going on while she was out with the nobles? Of course, she wouldn't just up and fly off- unless they got on her nerves again. Oh, how she wanted to slap them across the face... she guessed somebody already did, judging by their lack of wings. Hah- shame they couldn't fly, but it didn't hurt their ego at all. Common dragon..."Well, go back to your normal life." she said with a formal dip of her head. "And let me know if you need some justice dealt out. I'm always around her somewhere- especially around these times. Although if something happens, call anybody- don't get your stuff stolen because you want me specifically." she said, twitching her wings a bit before tensing them up in preparation for flight. She gave them a dip of her head as they started to turn away- she leapt up into the air, four wings beating in sync, as she looked over the Hives to see where else she should be stationed.

BronzewingViceroy nodded, flicking his talons in front of himself with a smile, and walked off. Perhaps he would see her again someday. It didn’t seem too outrageous a thought.

kingfishBombardier flew off, moving through the air- looking for a new space to watch over until something happened. At least that was a good break from her time guarding and walking around- but now she really did need to get back to it.
