The Skywing beat at the air with her wings. Angling herself ever so carefully to land. Circling once, twice, the dragon chose a spot to land. Pigeon fought of groan as her feet sunk into the mud beneath her. Everywhere in the Mudwing kingdom was quite foul in her opinion. If it wasn’t mud, it was bugs. If not bugs, snakes. If not snakes, actual Mudwings. Which was likely the worst of it. Burly f-cks who slept in mud and were far stronger than they appeared. And, unfortunately, they even looked powerful. Doing her best to remain mud free, the Skywing trotted through the swamps. Pigeon was there for one reason only. She had nowhere else to go. No job currently guided her movements. No dragon held her loyalty. No hobby spurred her on. She was merely, aimless. So, too keep herself from dwelling on it, she had traveled to the swamps. Keeping herself moving. The dark red dragon nearly missed the other dragon not fifty feet from her. Alerted only by their sheer size. Pigeon made a straight face, then coughed to get their attention. “Ey. Big guy-or girl-mind getting out of the way?” She said in her trademark monotone voice. D-mn. Do Mudwings always have to be so big? It’s obnoxious, she thought quietly in her head. Bronzewing word count 225

Bronzewing word count 225 Holding his barbed tail in a curl over his back, Miasma stepped around the swamps with awkward movements of his claws. It felt strange to have a SandWing tail with the immense strength of the rest of his body- the way his tail thinned out felt disproportionate. He would drag the limb around on the ground if he could, but the fear of a dragon stepping on it and getting poisoned...that wouldn't be good, and he didn't want to be the cause of something like that. The swamps never had many dragons, the mud pools there being full of grasses and bugs, making this a good spot to walk around. Craning his neck to look at a plant on the ground, he snipped it almost at the base with his claws before closer examining the frond. He didn't remember if he had one of these in his satchel yet, placing the snippet in with a claw while continuing to walk along the edge of the pools.
He didn't hear the steps of the SkyWing until they spoke to him, having been a bit too lost in what he was doing. Turning around, keeping his tail curled over just in case, he looked over the approaching dragon. They didn't seem too happy to be there- even less to be seeing a MudWing dragon. What's their problem? "Hm. I'll move." he said, opening his wings up and moving a bit further away out of the newcomer's way.
