I'm just going to write down ideas... They're just suggestions, so you don't have to actually use them uwu
(Also feel free to give some tips or improvements for any of them...)
-Pantala was recently discovered. Although some dragons were open to the new tribes and excited to meet them, there is a lot of tension. The two continents are very different, and the Hivewings are not that excited about having new tribes.
(Possible AU idea: Clearsight was hidden animus. She used her own magic to trap Darkstalker, but made everyone think it was Fathom, then created a magical tunnel (similar to the ones in the rainforest) so she could flee to Pantala. (Maybe she couldn't get there before the storm, and it was too dangerous to fly?) Tunnel was recently discovered again and is used to travel between the two continents.)
Pyrrhian dragons don't know about the Leafwings and stay away from the Poison Jungle. (Maybe first explorers were attacked by Leafwings who didn't realize they weren't from the Hives, so everyone sees the jungle as too dangerous?)
Au differences: Other than Clearsight being animus not much is different in the history. Sandwing war and dragonets still happened, but some differences. (Glory didn't become queen, but the Nightwings still live in the rainforest. (Could be that there are two queens (night and rain) that rule together, but still switch like normal) Blister took over the throne and killed her sisters, but was killed by the Eye of Onyx a bit later and replaced by someone else. The relationships between the dragonets were a lot less positive, so after the war ended they split up, instead of starting Jade Mountain Academy, so a lot of that stuff never happened)
-Roleplay should probably be a few hundred (maybe thousand) years be after the Sandwing War, just so there are no canon characters left.

-Other AU idea is that none of the dragonets survived/ended up with the Talons of Peace. The war ended on it's own a lot later than normally. (I'd say Blister or Burn would win?)
Leafwings steal the book of Clearsight on their own and find the map.
-Plot idea could be that Leafwings go to Pyrrhia to get help, which would start a war? (Blue/Cricket/Sundew wouldn't be involved, so Breath of Evil probably wouldn't have spread either, so it's just a fight between Leafwings and Hivewings)
(Possible idea is that the tribes are unsure if they should go to a different continent to fight a tribe they don't know, and that there are fights in Pyrrhia as well, since some dragons/tribes want to help the Hivewings instead)
Or it takes place before 4,991 AS (When Oasis was killed), so none of the book stuff would've happened yet. (I'd suggest between 3,412 and 4,791 AS, just so there is a bit of time between canon events)
(Possible idea: Pantala is not involved, but there is another war/prophecy, and our characters somehow end up together)
Not much of AU probably, other than that history is a bit different of course.
Another idea is that we just... completely rewrite history. Could have same general stuff as the other ones (like animus clearsight+tunnels), but maybe Leafwings took over instead? Hivewings would still be around, but seen as criminals and usually killed on sight. (Plot idea is that the Hive queen is planning a rebellion or something and either tries to get help for pyrrhia, or attempts to completely take over one of the tribes (maybe using breath of evil?))
