Havocseeker | They/them | Unspecified forest in Night Kingdom 275 words
Havocseeker liked flying. They could just feel the wind around them, hear nothing other than it whistling in their ears, an eerie melody that never seemed to get old or repeat itself. It was beautiful, in a way, feeling their wings ache and their breath grow cold and that unsettling, everchanging whistling. Plus, the scenery amazed them. Ii was a beautiful forest they were gliding over, and it never ceased to amaze them, how beautiful it was here. The NightWing eventually folded their wings in, gliding down in a corkscrewing motion as they drifted to the ground, covered in the shadows of night. They took a breath after landing, stretching their wings out for comfort before walking around. They'd never actually landed here- just flew over it, night after night. But tonight, they'd fix that. Retracing their steps in memory, Havoc began walking to where they remembered a cliff overlooking more of the forest. Their talons caught on the underbrush, but the NightWing kept walking in a stubborn fashion, hearing insects chirp and smiling a little. Much more enjoyable to hear crickets than their mother prattling on about how they needed to be more responsible or whatever she kept saying. Finally arriving at the cliff, the NightWing took a moment to admire the view. The stars above reflected the ones in their wings, and the galaxies almost seemed to reach out to them. Comforting in a way, and unsettling in yet another. They sat down, curling their tail across their claws as they looked out across the stars, and the silhouette of the woods below them.

Goldenwolfmidna Foresight was on the ground, his long claws digging deep into the ground, soil coming up around them. His head was curved downwards, facing the ground- but the NightWing's intense gaze was still focused on the stars above. Night was the best time for him. Nobody could see him against the sky- the black undersides of his wings blended in as if nobody was there, allowing him to swoop down on whatever prey he wanted... Crickets chirped around him- he gave a small snort, wishing for silence, but he was in the middle of a forest after all. Asking for silence while being surrounded by the trees and the earth was a bit too much, and it appeared that everything in here made noise. Usually he wouldn't mind- it hid his footsteps well enough. But on the rare times he just wanted to come someplace to think, every sound made his lip curl up in annoyance. Slightly opening his wings a bit to catch the air, he turned around and started to walk. He did know there was a cliff somewhere around here- he had seen it while flying in. Foresight never liked being in the open- it was his nature to stay in the shadows, where dragons couldn't see him- and even worse, recognize him. The NightWing who was kicked out of his own kingdom. He had heard that more than once, and he never liked how dragons stared at him afterwards- as if he was doing something wrong at every time of the day. Of course, sometimes he was doing something wrong. Stretching out his wings again, he decided to walk towards the cliff he had seen. Maybe it would be a bit quieter, and under the cover of night not as many dragons would recognize him. Besides, he wanted to see if the view was any good. Making up his mind to go, he started to trot under the trees, looking back to make sure the dragon skull strapped to his back was still in place.
