Cavern looks mostly like a mudwing, except his face is rounder and less squared-off. His scales are a darker brown than most mudwings have, with lighter brown on his underbelly. He has a spattering of silver scales under his wings like a nightwing
Abilities: He can hold his breath for up to 30 minutes

Cavern talks extremely formally, and he abhors violence or fighting of any kind. He tries to be kind, but he's very stiff and doesn't really know how to have fun.
History:
Cavern's parents met when Mayfly, his mother, met Swiftend when he was on a mission to kill a Mudwing general. She convinced him to not hurt him, and they ran away together. His father, Swiftend, was a nightwing assassin, and they fell in love. They raised Cavern, but the nightwings found them, took back Cavern's father. They took Cavern with them as well, and he was separated from his father. The librarian took Cavern in, and taught him everything he knew. When Cavern learned of Jade Mountain Academy, he jumped at the chance to teach there. Cavern thinks Mayfly is dead, killed by the nightwings.
