Flare and Temperament | SkyWing Student

The SkyWing dragon is larger than the average by a decent amount- it's not too noticeable, though it can be if they stand right next to someone. Their scales are a garnet color, with oxblood and ruby accents. Their wings transition from the oxblood color to a fiery orange, and there are a few scrapes and scars on their body, mostly faded and healed, though some may be more prominent than others. Their wings are large, like any SkyWing's, but theirs are almost impressively large, a bit too big to look normal but unless one's looking for it, it's not noticeable. Flare's eyes are orange, much like his mother's, while Temperament's are a more red color.

The two heads of the SkyWing have distinct personalities and each is a separate dragon. They just happen to have the misfortune of being connected to one body, and sharing one braincell. The left- and more aggressive- head is named Flare, while the more anxious, right head is Temperament. When referring to the two of them, they ask you use they/them, as they are separate entities, and refer to themselves in plural when talking about both of them. In general, Flare takes care of the whole "moving around" thing, though both of them are perfectly capable of it. They share everything except brains and like, necks.

The two heads of the SkyWing are drastically different in personality. Flare is a chaotic, impulsive, and much more aggressive dragon than Temperament, and is almost a typical SkyWing. He doesn't pick fights, but if one is initiated, he will reply in kind. He's quick to anger, but this spark of rage burns out quickly, much like putting a paper into a fire- it flares up, and then dies down quickly. Flare never means to hurt anyone, but if someone is looking for a fight, Flare will deliver. He tends to not pay attention and is a bit absentminded, but generally doesn't mean to be like this. He's by far the more talkative of the heads, and though not exactly likable, he's liable to chatter about anything to people when bored.

Temperament, on the other hand, is much more timid than the aggressive Flare. Temperament likes being alone, and though Flare tends to prefer being around people even the other SkyWing head understands the need to let Temperament have his alone time. Temperament is a pretty anxious dragon, happily letting Flare do most of the talking for the two of them, and only butting in when needed. He likes helping people, and he's rather studious, paying attention where Flare isn't. The only thing the two heads really seem to enjoy is flying- Temperament can relax and sit back while Flare does most of the motions, and they enjoy taking while soaring high in the air, looking down on the world below. Temperament does enjoy taking to Flare, but the more timid head knows that the other can be a lot, and is one of the only people who can calm Flare down when he snaps. Temperament is rather curious and inquisitive, hence his studious nature, and usually holds the braincell the two heads share.

【•　Their Past　•】
The past of the two- headed dragon is rather miraculous. They were hatched in the Sky kingdom, near the border of the kingdom of Mud. They had several siblings, and the only reason they survived was because of this- all of these other SkyWing hatchlings were perfectly normal. Their mother, apparently deciding that she didn't want to kill the dragonet, dropped her off in the Mud kingdom. They were adopted by a sib group of MudWings, and basically consider themselves an honorary MudWing. Their adopted sibs are the only family they really care about, though they do know who their SkyWing parents are. 

Neither of the heads really care what species a dragon is- their upbringing with MudWings is likely the cause of this- and they both judge based on personality, with Flare being much harsher than Temperament. They were alive at the time of the SandWing Succession War's end, and though it didn't affect them much, the SkyWing dragonet was relieved to know it was done- now, none of their sibs- or them- would have to fight and die for a bunch of SandWings. They eventually went off to Jade Mountain, though none of their sibs joined them, the older MudWings insisting that it would do them well to meet new dragons. They went along with it, Flare much more reluctantly than Temperament., who was more than excited to go to a real school! They're less excited that it's in SkyWing territory, but oh well. They'll live- probably, at least.
