It swam through the water. It had been a week since it was on land, and it was tired. It noticed an island, and it tiredly climbed onto the island, spreading its wings and almost collapsing. Were there leaf dragons here? Bug dragons? It wondered as it lay on the beach. It was hungry, tired and exhausted, and they wanted to know what this new continent was like. It had just crossed the Ocean. Just crossed the ocean, somehow. It yawned, and did a pattern with their scales, aquatic. They didn’t know what it meant, but the soft glow of the pattern almost was soothing, like a melody of light. [translation: goodbye] It smiled and just lied there, and after a while, a while of resting, it needed to hunt. It leapt into the ocean and breathed; would it have to hide in this ocean as they did the lake scorpion? It noticed the sounds of fish, wildlife swimming around, and soon enough, it swam, able to spread their wings underwater and move quickly, the water clearer than it ever was the lake. It soon went after a hearty looking fish, and they swam after it, catching it in their claws and swimming up to the small island to eat it.

kittSilpha had stayed around the Kingdom of the Sea, a place he hadn't really spent much time- so hey, that was why he was there now. All this water wasn't too interesting to him, but once the familiar ground of the Island Palace appeared, he had to go check it out. He had never seen it personally, but it was in all the books back at... back at school... He did not want to think about that accursed school. Landing with a loud thump, he blinked his dark eyes before looking around with a sharp gaze, tail tapping across the sand as he tried his best to rub it out of his claws. He flicked the necklaces around his throat, as he commonly did, before starting to walk, examining the old SeaWing architecture and the plants that had grown there. Sort of pretty.

it soon reached the surface, emerging and walking onto land. It noticed an... unusual dragon, wings like its, but what were they? They didn't have his glowing scales or gills, and they were beige, not blue. were they a bee dragon? leaf dragon? butterfly dragon? their ripped wings were held close to their body and lit up their scales in the same pattern, would they know what it meant? it wondered, and it almost seemed like they were staring at them, silent, watching them look at the architecture. It wondered what they were like, what they sounded like. it stared at them, and then they ate the fish they just caught, it was nice, and they were gonna have a nice meal, while wondering about them.

Silpha heard the dripping of water from their scales, and he was rather good at telling when people had their eyes on him- this was no different. He turned to look at the- SeaWing, of course. No other tribes really came out here, to his knowledge, and he didn't care much either way. They tended to have similar reactions to him, anyway.
He stared back at the SeaWing, giving them a small wave of a claw just to show that yes, he definitely knew they were out there. He was perceptive. Sometimes. It honestly varied.

The cryptid continued to stare at them, and talked, in a slithering voice "who are you, what are you?" it guessed they were a weird thing to say but it was a question it had, what was this unusual dragon? It hoped they would answer, it might be the thing they were looking for. "what's with your wings?" they were like a leaf, but not. they weren't a bee, butterfly, or leaf dragon. asking might do something, so why not? it knew they knew it was here, and it wondered how, probably the water, or other sounds.

Silpha was used to these questions, usually about the fact that he was a hybrid- why would he expect somebody to be confused about the existence of Pyrrhian dragons? "Hey there." he said, raising a claw. "I'm Silpha. And yes, I am a hybrid. You have probably noticed that." He tapped his tail on the ground to show off the IceWing spikes on the tip. "My- my wings?" He looked back at them- they were normal, nothing weird, right? He hadn't inherited the wings of his mother. "There's nothing weird with them? They're like yours, actually." He looked back at the SeaWing with confusion in his eyes.

" they asked, they were a hybrid?" the voice spoke. what was that with their tail?? it was spiky. was everyone here like him? thhey said they were a hybrid, but it seemed like their wings weren't the strange part, it was mainly the wings, and antennae they were confused about. it spoke once more in their slithering voice "They arent bugs wings or leaves..." mabye dragons here had wings like this, not bug or leaf or anything. what was it like here, theyd have to get used to it. they wondered if they knew about the other dragons, if not, what were the dragons they did know like? it seemed interesting. it walked closer to the dragon, water still dropping down them as they immitated the pattern, goodbye, though it didnt know that.

"I am a hybrid, and I am not a bug." Who, or what, did they think he was? A bug like he heard Hive-Mother was, all those years ago? He had never seen them personally, and had no clue what the dragoness really looked like, and whether they had the wings of one of the bugs that often flew around here. "None of the dragons here have bug wings. And neither do you... unless you think bugs look like that?" He did want to ask more, see where they came from where they saw dragons that MAY look like his long-lost parent, but he didn't want to ask too much of them. They were a SeaWing, not a master of lost tribes or weird wings or whatever she had been. He noticed them flashing a pattern, and he had no clue what it meant, and just hoped it wasn't some secret call like "I'm gonna murder you" or "go away" or some SeaWing thing he would never understand.
