Petrel believes that sleep is useless. All it does is waste time! He could be far more productive if he simply did not sleep. They quickly realized that this was an impossible goal, however. Too long without sleep and he would start to hallucinate. Instead, they learned that they were able to sleep for short bursts while flying, allowing them to get the sleep they needed while doing their job!
