My Blorbo as of late is Fate/stay night's Gilgamesh. Honestly, there's a lot to dislike about this version of the Babylonian King of Uruk, the so-called "King of Heroes" who claims all the world's treasures and artifacts as being his. But at the same time, there's a lot to respect about him as well. Yes, he rounded up several citizens of his own kingdom with the intent to slaughter them just to see if he could be that cold-hearted, but when he realized that he couldn't kill any single one of them due to their important role in the kingdom — not even the literal slave due to the necessity of his manual labor — whereas a lot of ruling figures throughout early human history would've gone through with it and cut them down anyway despite this realization, Gilgamesh instead dismissed them back to their jobs and pondered over the true worth of a person, both as an individual and as a part of a larger whole that is society. This same event is what influenced his view of the modern world by the events of Fate/Zero and Fate/stay night, as, in contrast to the era of his reign where humanity was living modestly with poverty being nonexistent outside of the slaves, modern humanity had encroached upon the world so heavily that poverty and famine existed even in first-world countries like the US, Japan and China. Say nothing of the rampant pollution and climate change that were issues he'd never conceived of before. From his point of view upon seeing this state of the world and humanity, humankind had seemingly grown from a civilization in its infancy into a veritable cesspool of corruption, greed and depravity — and that's before you factor in the tainted Grail's corruption upon himself distorting his viewpoint, not after. And honestly, from a purely objective standpoint, that conclusion is not exactly inaccurate. Not that I condone the manner in which he expressed it — far from it, I actually disapprove of how he tried to go about "correcting" humanity's overdevelopment. Granted, the fact he tried to use the corrupted Black Mud byproduct of the tainted Grail can largely be attributed to his own aforementioned corruption from it, but it nonetheless would've destroyed the world's ecosystems in addition to culling humanity's population down into the octuple digits at most, leaving the surviving tens of millions to struggle and decline in a slowly dying world as opposed to his original vision that mirrors that of Thanos from the MCU
