The sun was just starting to rise over the Poison Jungle, the trees letting tiny bits of light through their leaves, leaving the ground mostly dark. Not that it bothered Pine much as he climbed one of the many trees. Making sure it was stable, he lied down on one of it's branches, letting out a sigh. He could feel Fir climbing down from his shoulder, and he listened to him climb to the edge of the branch to look down. Letting out a sigh, Pine flicked the tip of his tail as he allowed himself to relax, far away from the Sapwing camp. While he wasn't as familiar with this area, it was still close enough that he felt he could easily return home without getting lost, but not too close that there would be dragons everywhere nearby. Redwood gave a huff as the LeafWing trekked along in the jungle. It was a nice morning- Redwood always loved mornings. But today was something special- he wasn't expected to do anything other than just exist. And it was lovely, not being expected to do this or that. For once in his life, the LeafWing was free. Well- not free. But certainly more free than he was usually.
Glancing around, Redwood let out a quick sigh. He'd have to go back soon, but that didn't matter. The PoisonWing glanced up into a tree as he heard shaking- that was a LeafWing up there. Not someone he recognized, but still a LeafWing. Probably a SapWing, but honestly. Redwood didn't care- they were all the same species, just one wanted revenge and took the voices of their children while the other tended to be more pacifist. And that made Redwood jealous, the knowledge that he could have had a voice had his parents not been as terrible as they were.
Redwood pushed off from the ground, flapping up to the eye level of the dragon and signing a quick hello. Wait- was that a scavenger? On the other LeafWing's shoulder? Interesting. Was the other dragon unaware of the little monkey creature or were they instead more tolerant of them? I'm Redwood. Who are you?

Frowning slightly, Pine tilted his head. He thought he heard something but.. it was too quiet to tell what. Shaking his head, he flicked his wings out slightly to let them catch a bit more of the light, when Pine suddenly yelped and climbed back onto his shoulder. "Hm..? What is it?" He mumbled, turning his head a bit. He usually only reacted like that when a predator was nearby. He hadn't heard or smelled any leopards nearby, and Pine didn't think that there would be anyone around here. Pine frowned, thinking about it, when he heard flapping. Instinctively he froze, pressing himself against the branch as he tried to figure out what it was. Only one pair of wings, so probably Leafwing but... Why aren't they saying anything? Is it even a dragon? After a few minutes of what felt like awkward silence he carefully spoke, "Um... Hello? Is uh- anyone there?" He said, then quietly huffed to himself. Of course there's someone there, I can hear them.Relaxing himself slightly he lifted his head, looking in the direction where he thought they were. From what he could tell at home, people didn't like it if he wasn't looking at someone while talking to them, even if Pine didn't understand why he'd have to. But he didn't want to risk making them angry, of course, since he didn't know who, or what, was around him.
