Cavern smiled as the dragon said, "Does it matter? I could ask you the same, unless you do just live in the middle of nowhere." This dragon had a point. Cavern opened his mouth to respond, when the dragon said, "Minke I guess?" Cavern grinned. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Minke. Now, a response to your previous question. I intend to begin a school that is located in these mountains. I do not believe that learning has yet begun, and I plan to fly to each of the kingdoms searching for dragons interested in enrolling or teaching." he paused. "Perhaps you would consider joining. You would be educated about the other tribes, and there would be frequent trips to other tribes, to see how they live." Cavern turned to look at the sky. "You are not required to, of course. But I implore you to think on it. If you decide to join, I am usually at Jade Mountain."Word count: 163 Ombekende

"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Minke. Now, a response to your previous question. I intend to begin a school that is located in these mountains. I do not believe that learning has yet begun, and I plan to fly to each of the kingdoms searching for dragons interested in enrolling or teaching." Minke was quite sure most of that just went completely over their head, but they smiled and nodded, pretending to look interested. Why are there so many words why do I never understand what he's staying what "Perhaps you would consider joining. You would be educated about the other tribes, and there would be frequent trips to other tribes, to see how they live. You are not required to, of course. But I implore you to think on it. If you decide to join, I am usually at Jade Mountain." Oh um, "Perhaps..." They hummed. Um... School in mountains needs people? Sounds about right sure As their head stopped aching, Minke began to be able to really hear themselves think. It was not a very good thing to them, as they quickly found their thoughts were loud and confusing. "I will... Think about it." They said, flicking the tip of their tail. Do I even need to go to school isn't it for dragonets? Frowning, Minke thought about that. How old even were they..? They actually had no idea. My brain feels empty and full at the same time why-
Letting out a huff, they shook their head. The fact they could barely remember their name, had no idea where they are, how they got here, or even how old they were was probably not that important. It might be better to learn about Cavern- He was the one that found them after all. The other one mentioned I was lucky the one who found me was kind... "Um... A-agate mentioned I was lucky that you were the one who found me." They said carefully, looking at Cavern, "Might I ask why? Are.. the others around here usually hostile..?" Maybe that's what happened to me...

Cavern nodded when Minke said that they would consider joining Cavern's school. He couldn't force them to join, but he hoped they would decide to join. Minke shook their head. "Um... A-agate mentioned I was lucky that you were the one who found me. Might I ask why? Are... the others around here usually hostile..?" Cavern frowned. "I do not believe so, as the war has ended. However, I do not know what the new Skywing queen's views are about the arena. She may have had her soldiers capture any strange dragons to fight in the arena. If not, they simply might have thought the Icewings had sent you to spy, as the Skywings have been fighting Icewings for twenty years, and ill feelings most likely linger despite the peace that has been forged."[/i][/b] Cavern frowned. "If we are found by Skywings, I do not know how they will react. We are not very near to the palace, however, I do hope we are not spotted." He looked up, hoping now that Agate would arrive swiftly. He hadn't thought of the danger of standing in the open like this. He edged slightly towards an outcropping of rock that was casting a long shadow. Minke was already partially hidden by the bush Agate had helped them climb out of. Word count: 218 Ombekende

Minke shifted their wings a bit as they watched Cavern, noticing he looked a bit uneasy as he looked up at the sky. "Ill feelings..?" They frowned, "Um, right, yeah. Don't wanna get caught by the Skywings haha." Yeah that's totally going to convince him you know what he's talking about. "Why make a school here then if they'd cause trouble? Seems uh, kinda dangerous..." Minke glanced up as well, although even if there was a dragon flying towards them, they weren't sure if they'd be able to see them. With a huff they rested their head on the ground, "So we just wait for Agate to come back then?" (217)

Minke shifted their wings, looking a bit more uncomfortable. Cavern wondered if he should have voiced his worries. This dragonet clearly did not need any more stress, but there was no going back now. "Um, right. Yeah. Don't wanna get caught by the Skywings haha." Cavern frowned slightly. Minke was very... odd. What Icewing didn't know why Skywings might be hostile if they found an unknown icewing on their territory? Perhaps Agate's worries were correct and the dragonet's injuries went deeper than just surface level. "Why make a school here then if they'd cause trouble? Seems uh, kinda dangerous..." Cavern paused, thinking of an answer that would make sense. "I understand your concerns, however I assure you that Jade Mountain is quite safe. There was a school there previously, which I am attempting to recreate. It is not very far into Skywing territory, so I suspect there will be no objections." Cavern smiled reassuringly at Minke, hoping that if he acted confident Minke wouldn't realize just how worried he was about opening the school. Word count: 174 Ombekende

Minke nervously shifted their wings when he frowned, looking away. "I understand your concerns, however I assure you that Jade Mountain is quite safe. There was a school there previously, which I am attempting to recreate. It is not very far into Skywing territory, so I suspect there will be no objections." They frowned, tapping their talons on the stone as they tried to think. "...It's not far enough into Skywing territory for it to cause trouble, but me just being there will?" They huffed, frowning. Guess they really are dangerous... Might want to leave. Taking in a deep breath, they tried to get up again, wincing at the pain in their muscles. "Probably not a good idea to open that school then..." They shook their head, sitting now. Not quite standing, but Minke didn't think that was a good idea with how the world was starting to spin... "So um," They blinked a few times, looking at the sky again for any nearby dragons. "How long do we have to wait..? I'm not sure if I'm comfortable just... sitting here." What if something really did attack them and was still around? Or if those Skywings were angry at Cavern for trying to make a school in their territory? (209) Mantis Shrimp

Cavern sighed. He realized now that there was nothing he could say that would calm Minke. He did have to admit the dragonet had a point. He looked at the sky, watching as the sun inched its way towards the horizon. "Perhaps you are right," he said, pausing for a moment to search for the correct words. "The school may not be successful. The students may grow to dislike the other tribes instead of understanding them. Perhaps..." he broke off. Minke didn't need to know about Cavern's fears that the incident that had closed the first school down would repeat itself. His gaze grew more intense as he turned to look Minke directly in the eyes. "But that is why it is imperative that we try. How can we know if peace can be achieved if we do not try?" Cavern knew he had to try, or else he would always be wondering if he could have brought peace but was too worried about the consequences to try. He sighed again. "If I let myself be consumed by worries and doubts, I would never accomplish anything. I must bury those hesitations if I want to use what I know to help bring peace." Cavern looked out in the direction Agate had flown. He couldn't really explain why he'd decided to start up the school, he had simply felt a calling, and understood how essential teaching the younger generations to understand the other tribes was. Moons this guy really does care about that stuff. Minke just listened, pretending to look interested. Ah yes peace and learning about other tribes. I don't even know why you'd need that but sure go ahead. As much as Minke really didn't care, they had to admit they were a bit curious. Their head hurt and everything felt blurry but at least it'd be something for them to do while they recovered. They winced as their ears rang and their vision went a bit dark. Okay don't get up yet bad idea let's just stay here. I really did get lucky, huh? From what they've heard so far it seemed like they'd be in trouble if pretty much anyone else had found them. Would they even have survived? Or maybe this was actually bad luck and anyone else would've gotten a healer that didn't fly off immediately before boring them to death with something about a school. No be nice he's helping you shut up brain. Minke hissed quietly, flicking the tip of their tail. Their thoughts were loud and the sun felt too bright and hot and Minke really wasn't feeling well. Did the ground always spin like that..?
Taking a deep breath, Minke tried to focus. It wouldn't be good if they passed out before that healer got back. Instead they tried to listen to Cavern again. "...blablabla something bla bury blabla peace" Oh. They looked up, "Oh uh yeah, I know how to bury stuff."

Cavern frowned just a bit, puzzled. Had they been listening at all? "Ahm, that is... excellent, yes." he shifted awkwardly, unsure if saying anything else would be worth it. Would Minke even listen to him? He wasn't sure. He looked out in the direction Agate had flown. "Minke. I believe Agate is returning!" he squinted, trying to look for the unique patterns that decorated Agate's wings. As the dragon slowly flew closer, Cavern was eventually able to determine that it was Agate! He smiled, and waved a wing at the approaching dragon. --- Agate was happy to see that Minke had stayed in place. He hoped Cavern had been a good companion, because he knew that sometimes Cavern could be a bit overwhelming, his ultraformal speech coupled with the fact that he hated sitting in silence sometimes made other dragons uncomfortable. He landed next to Minke and smiled at the dragonet, trying to ignore how his wings had begun to tire. "I'm back! I hope I wasn't too long. Oh. That wasn't the right thing to say. "Yep..." Minke looked away, shifting their wings again. It'd probably be fine. They were still injured and there were so many words, it only made sense for Minke to lose track of them! They stared a very interesting piece of grass near their talons when they heard Cavern speak again. "Agate?" They looked up as well, noticing the yellow dragon approach. Yep, looks like him, unless my eyes aren't working properly anymore. As he landed they tried to get up. Their legs were still shaking, but at least they were standing this time. Even if the wind could knock them over. "Oh um yeah you didn't take too long!" They smiled, blinking a few times. The world wasn't blurry at all, nope, just got up too fast. Minke shook their head. "Yep perfectly fine. Not overheating at all and I swear the world isn't spinning..." They said, trying to convince themself as well. "Or um well... I'm sure we'll notice if I can't fly I guess." They just had to remember to breathe and not fall out of the sky. Simple right?
Spreading their wings they stepped away from the others a bit, so they wouldn't fly into them. That would be embarrassing. "So uh just go and I'll follow you I guess."

Agate frowned, concerned. He had hoped that Minke had not hit their head hard enough to cause a concussion*, but it seemed as though his fears had been realized. "Are you sure you can fly? Cavern and I can easily assist you!" He looked over at Cavern, hoping that he would be ok with the fact that Agate had offered his assistance without asking first. The odd nightwing looked over at Agate and nodded. "I would be glad to aid you in whatever way I can," he said. -- Cavern understood the importance of bringing Minke to safety as soon as possible. Agate nodded at him. "I think you should fly between Cavern and I, Minke. That way, we can help you if you need it." Cavern nodded, about to add that he and the large-winged Sandwing would easily be able to carry the Icewing dragonet if they found themself unable to fly, but the words died on his tongue as Agate shot him a look. -- Agate knew his friend well enough to know that he had been about to say something involving a worst-case senario. Cavern had never been very good at reading dragons, and tended to say exactly the wrong thing. Agate could tell that Minke didn't want to hear about how they might fall out of the sky if left to fly on their own. Minke winced slightly, the way Agate looked at them did not look good. "Yeah I'm sure." They really weren't, but Minke hated it when dragons looked at them like that. They did feel a bit more stable, everything was a bit less blurry and spinning, so they should be able to figure out which general direction was up, even if their body still ached from their fall. "You did already gave me aid..."
Their eyes narrowed at Cavern. He was about to say something before Agate stopped him. Was he... planning something? What would they even want with them. Was there something really important they maybe forgot? No... They flapped their wings, feeling them cut through the air. I can fly they don't have to fly around me. "Just lead me to where it is." They huffed, "Don't waste your energy on flying next to me." Wouldn't flying in front of my help me more as well..? Minke frowned at that thought. They didn't have any memories but at the same time they did know that... It probably wasn't important though.
Taking a deep breath Minke flapped their wings again, harder this time, which lifted them off the ground. They'd rather be in the air, at least that wouldn't start spinning under their talons...
Feeling the wind currents, they lifted one wings slightly, letting themself slowly circle above the other two.

"All right, I won't fly next to you," Agate said with a smile. He tilted his wings to move slightly ahead of Minke, and motioned for Cavern to do the same. That way, the dragonet would be able to fly in the adult dragons' wakes, making it easier for them to fly. -- Cavern looked from Agate to Minke, his scales itching to say something to end the awkward silence. But what to say? He didn't know if Minke would want to talk, but would it be rude to speak to Agate as though the dragonet were not there? Cavern pondered this for a minute, before realizing the perfect way to include both dragons in the conversation. "Minke, you will recall that I am seeking to re-open Jade Mountain Academy, and that I invited you to attend." Cavern inclined his head towards Agate. "Well, Agate here is considering becoming a teacher there!" Agate nodded, smiling at Minke, though the smile did not completely reach his eyes. "That's right!" the sandwing said. "That is, if I can figure out a way to teach and keep an eye on my sister," Cavern winced at the sadness in his friend's eyes. He knew how Agate had been trying to re-acclimate his paranoid, violent sister to society, but his attempts had been unsuccessful so far. Cavern frowned, unsure of how to respond. The conversation lapsed into a temporary silence, and Cavern wrung his talons uncomfortably. He looked back towards Minke, hoping the dragonet would say something to continue the conversation. Minke nodded, slowing a bit to let the others fly in front of them. Staying in the air wasn't too hard- it seemed their body still knew how to do that, but flying in a straight line was a bit of a challenge, and Minke found they often had to adjust slightly to stay behind them. They were so focused on Cavern's tail that they almost didn't notice he was talking. Something about the school again..? Three moons, can that dragon talk about anything else? They were about to just ignore him, when Agate spoke as well. Oh huh, he's a teacher? If... something with his sister. Was she sick? Minke stayed quiet, then noticed the awkward silence, and Cavern looking back at them. He wants me to do something about this?
"Ah um, what are you goin to teach then, Agate?" They said. Just silence was fine with them as well, but they didn't want the others to keep looking back at them like that. At least talking lets them know I'm still alive.

Agate's eyes brightened once more. "Thank you for asking! I'm planning on teaching students about medicine, so they can know what to do if they ever find themselves in a situation where they don't have access to a doctor, just as you were when Cavern found you." Agate hoped for a day when fighting between dragons was less common, and he was giving dragons the knowledge of how to take care of themselves if they got hurt, in a fight or some other way, as his own way of helping towards that goal. ---- Cavern nodded. "And I shall be teaching about the tribes. How they live, how each dragon society is different from the next. The science behind the abilities that dragons have."[/i[ This was the subject that Cavern was most excited about; everyone knew what the tribes could do, but Cavern was studying why and how they could do these things. He was fascinated by this and hoped that he would be able to figure them out fast enough to come up with lesson plans. Ombekendeword count: 176
