Viceroy
V, Big V (jokingly), Roy
Male(he/they) : 12: HiveWing Noble : Bisexual
Tribe(s): SilkWing
Appearance: {An interesting-looking ‘HiveWing’ with golden and black scales. }
First Impression: Viceroy does have a very royal look to him, and most see him as pompous or regal at a first glance.
Viceroy is a dragon that is on the small side for HiveWings; but for someone with the blood of a SilkWing, they’re about average size. Physically, he’s built a bit thicker than usual, though this helps to conceal his original tribe, the bit of extra around his stomach hinting at a more decadent lifestyle.
His scales are a pale golden brown, sort of like toasted bread, though much of Viceroy’s body is covered in dark black splatters, especially around his tail, talons, and face, which helps to cover any other color that might peak through. In all actuality, the black is ink, painted on every so often under the guise of helping his black spots ‘pop’-a scale-care thing, it could be called. Under the dark ink, his scales fade from golden to purple and white, especially around his tail. His underside is lighter than his back.
Most shockingly, though, is his deliberate lack of wings, wingbuds and all. There seems to only be very light scarring around the area, and it’s not very noticeable-it could have been a cat scratch for all he knew. Viceroy also has no antennae, and small scars on his wrists where the doctors tried to remove the silk glands. They were partially successful.
Abilities:
-disability (2000 T)-no flight
-silk, but it’s very slow to be produced and he doesn’t know how to use it.
-physical training in fighting
-intelligence
Personality:
{Smart, thinks ahead, nonviolent, entitled, dependant}
Viceroy is a complicated dragon. He’s neither good nor bad, fully, but rather an amalgamation of his parts. All his life, he’s used his smarts to get ahead. How else would a wingless dragon (of all things) gain the upper hand? He thinks of any possibility, weighing the positives and negatives in his head and choosing which one he would like. Therefore, he is often quite nonviolent, not willling to harm dragons in most cases and tries to find a nonviolent solution.
Viceroy is somewhat entitled-he expects lavish meals; not a swamp rat someone caught three days ago. He believes himself as above SilkWings and LeafWings-but, to be fair, he is absolutely terrified of LeafWings. He’s also terrified of heights!
Emotionally, Viceroy is very dependent on others for support and help, and therefore is quite friendly and easy to make friends with, and is pretty good emotional support despite his more analytical nature. Viceroy is also quite ambitious and power and wealth are things that he would like to have. His ‘HiveWing’ identity is quite important to that.
History:
Viceroy was hatched to two HiveWing aristocrats, in Tarantula Hive. They had obtained his egg after discovering they were barren, buying it from a somewhat reputable seller who was a tiny bit shady. The egg was the right color, after all. His biological parents are unknown. When he was hatched, his parents kept him anyways, growing attached quickly. In order to protect him (and themselves), they sook out another shady dragon: a doctor who amputated his wingbuds and antennae at a young age. They also tried to remove his silk glands, but it was only partially successful.
He attended a very successful school from a young age (he used to brag that there he had once seen the queen herself), and though he turned out to be slightly lazy, he obtained good grades through talent and nothing else. Viceroy made a lot of friends there that he retains to this day.
Part of the reason why he is only partially suspecting of his tribe is because his parents shielded him from any interactions with SilkWings because he might realize the similar face and body shape. Only when he was older did they allow some SilkWing servants back into their family, and still, their parents do not allow them to go out to more SilkWing areas, fearing an ‘ill-informed’ SilkWing to reveal his heritage.
Viceroy grew up on lavish balls, royal feasts, and fancy parties, leading them to be quite entitled and though he’s not whiny, he’s quite used to a very lavish lifestyle.
He also formally trained in a mixed martial arts class that is somewhat like Gracie Ju Jitsu and focuses on self-defense. Viceroy also knows how to cure dragons from the paralyzing poison and a couple other helpful things that he learned from a SilkWing servant (who he hasn’t seen in forever, hmm.)
