Abilities: silk, can spit out a nasty smelling brown fluid the same color of his eyes, which also causes skin irritation; has to be “gathered” in mouth, and then spit out (the fluid causes his breath to always smell like it, and he always tastes it, but has gotten used to it)
Personality (short): Distrusting at first, kind and loyal once you gain his trust, protective of sister, is normally level-headed but when it comes to his sister, he can get snappy
Detailed Personality: Grasshopper is a dragon that has trouble trusting other dragons due to how him and his sister were treated while on Pantala, though if you are able to gain his trust, he can be a kind and loyal friend. He normally is a level headed dragon that will think through things very carefully, but if he feels his sister is in some sort of danger, any logic is thrown out the window, and he can get very hostile and snappy.
Appearance (short description + drawing): Hivewing build with yellow Hivewing-type wings and Silkwing antenna that fade to black, grey body is speckled with darker grey spots of varying shades and lighter grey underbelly, back legs fade to blue, brown eyes with darker brown vertical stripes
History: Grasshopper and his sister, Planthopper, were hatched from a twin egg (from the same egg), and before they ran away, lived in the Cicada Hive. While Grasshopper was hatched normal size and has grown normally, his sister hatched only half his size, and has remained so. The siblings were never told the name of their father, because they were told that soon after their egg was laid, their father disappeared for reasons unknown. Their mother was a construction worker, and over several years, little by little, gathered materials so that, once Planthopper went through metamorphosis (Grasshopper never went through it, though he does know he has silk since his glands were itchy around when he would have, and when they stopped being itchy, he could produce silk), they could build a raft to leave the continent and hopefully make it to the mysterious “other continent” that they heard mentioned. However, their mother was killed in a construction accident before Planthopper metamorphosed. Despite this, Grasshopper gathered the materials his mother had gotten from her job, and using his silk, put it together into the best raft he could manage. He gathered some dried fruit and meat (because both him and his sister eat both meat and plants) and a small thing of honey drops, and during the night, snuck out of the hive and set out. Until the sun rose, Grasshopper flew and pulled the raft with his silk to get as far away as they could. By the time dawn broke, he was tired, and for the rest of the journey the pair took turns sleeping and eating, drinking water from the rain that fell. After five days, their raft bumped onto the shore of an island where the ruins of what seemed to be a palace stood (the ruins of the Summer Seawing Palace). The two crawled onto the beach, tired and hungry since they depleted their minimal food supply except for a talonful of honey drops, and after some rest, begin to explore the ruins. (this is the point where, once I make my first RP post, I will pick up from)
